Group Showings

When author Robert Whitlow and filmmaker Gary Wheeler partnered to begin the creation of THE LIST, it was their sincere prayer that the film would have a spiritual impact on a wide basis. In order for that to happen they felt it was essential that the film was spiritually powerful, but also, artistically strong.

Lawerance Toppman of The Charlotte Observer says, “The List is an accomplished piece of filmmaking with a serious goal.”

Here’s why we think you should show THE LIST in your church or organization.

The film clearly depicts THE POWER OF PRAYER in a way that is practical and positive. Too often we underestimate the importance of prayer, but in the film, we see it walked out in natural everyday life with results that will surprise you.

We see the IMPORTANCE OF THE CHOICES WE MAKE in THE LIST. One good choice can lead to an opportunity to make another good choice and so on… and the impact can be felt for generations to come. Unfortunately, the same applies to making bad choices.

THE LIST strongly illustrates the importance of RELATIONSHIP AND COMMUNITY. Throughout the film we see how relationships – old and new – help to shape us and our view of God and the world around us. The authentic reality of God personally involved in the lives of certain characters eventually creates the tipping point for the main character to come face to face with his utter need for God.

We encourage you to consider the various levels THE LIST may connect with your congregation and/or community. We have already seen people sincerely touched by God through the watching of this powerful film!
